In the year of our good God above 2026, I don't want to hear anyone still telling authors not to put politics into their books.

    Everything is political. Literally everything.

If you tell people you're not political, you're telling them the status quo works for you – and you don't care who it harms.

@clacksee every time someone says something like "don't bring politics into {something}" you know exactly the kind of people they vote for.

Oh, come on. We all know, "Don't put politics in your books," is code for, "Don't put politics I don't like in your books."

        Scroom. (Say it alound.)

Love it when right before a family gathering the putative patriarch spams everyone to say “remember, we love each other so don’t talk politics.” Bitch I’m talking “politics” *because* I love you

@clacksee I don't trust people who "aren't political". They're the type who'd help stuff my queer ass in the oven with a "I've got bills to pay."

@clacksee Politics is the taking care of the polis, which is where you live. So if you don’t care about politics, you don’t care about taking care of your city, village or other either. Which makes you somewhat of an asshole.

This is the most succinctly put I've ever seen this put, and (if it's okay with you) I feel compelled to print this on a t-shirt..

Ideally we have both feed_guid and item_guid to be 100% sure we are matching and applying support stats to the right episode.
