Good morning Fedi friends.

No storm and 2 mm of light showers here ... brother other side of Melbourne had a river of rain rushing down his driveway taking the gravel with it and dumping it on the road ...
He wasn't going to risk trying to read the rain gauge ... but it overflowed for a couple of hours ...
He tried to ring me at one stage but we couldn't hear each over the sound of the torrent on the tin roof ...
Haven't from him this morning.
@MyView
Oh gosh. I got in touch with fiends in Melbourne & Bacchus Marsh, but could only get hold of one.
I hope your brother will be ok. -

I hope your brother will be ok.I'm sure he's fine, we're a tough lot
He lives in a hand made mud brick house (built in the 70s) and I'm always waiting to hear how it's washed away
And he has his eldest son living with him now ... mind you, his son is near retirement age

I hope your brother will be ok.They're fine and house still standing ... but can't find the gumboots
Probably just as well as been so long since used would be full of redbacks ...

Yep ... he said that every gutter overflowed from the sides and for 15 minutes there was a sheet of water view through every window ...
They expected a lot of damage but the drains they put in 40 years ago worked fine ...
Just have to buy new gravel for the driveway ...
Son managed to get out to work in the 4WD and should get back in ... he hopes as it's son's turn to cook
Can you imagine two old blokes (88 and 63), both set in their ways living together

Absolutely
. I did see it after Iβd posted, but it amused me so I left it as is

@MyViewI didn't even notice it
and I'm usually the first nit picker ... but then I didn't notice I left a word out of a reply until long after
And did the unthinkable, left it there ... still felt the ruler over the knuckles though
