    Good morning Fedi friends. Very warm & humid out, I may as well be in QLD 😬. It’s 22c this morning & 85% humidity, it’s getting up to 30c today & with rain still around will remain yuk & humid. The storm yesterday evening was very mild in comparison to Sunday & caused no issue, just a good light show in the early evening & thankfully no flooding. In fact it seems to have cleaned up a few areas around my place a little 🙂. Happy for that.
    Slept much better last night, my head is in a better space still a little rattled & fuzzy brained & just a little overwhelmed but bit by bit I’m working through it. Yoga based balance class is on the agenda this morning to help me deal with the day.
    I’ll be taking a number of items to the op shop & have decided to get rid of a lovely deck chair I have stored in the garage & rarely use. I like it, but no point if I don’t use it. So I’ll add that to the load already in the car. Plus a couple of wooden planter boxes I was given, never used because nothing fitted in them. I do like clean outs. Then off to Bunnings. I have a hanging flyscreen on the door from the laundry to the garage & it’s become quite damaged over the years & I’m replacing it & I also need some hooks to hang the new one. As the door is wider than average, I need to think outside the box a bit.
    Hope everyone has a happy #Wednesday, stay cool & dry out there 🌻. #Weather #StormCleanUp #AussieSummer

      @feather1952

      No storm and 2 mm of light showers here ... brother other side of Melbourne had a river of rain rushing down his driveway taking the gravel with it and dumping it on the road ...

      He wasn't going to risk trying to read the rain gauge ... but it overflowed for a couple of hours ...

      He tried to ring me at one stage but we couldn't hear each over the sound of the torrent on the tin roof ...

      Haven't from him this morning.

        Oh gosh. I got in touch with fiends in Melbourne & Bacchus Marsh, but could only get hold of one.
        I hope your brother will be ok.

          @feather1952

          I'm sure he's fine, we're a tough lot 🙂
          He lives in a hand made mud brick house (built in the 70s) and I'm always waiting to hear how it's washed away 🙂
          And he has his eldest son living with him now ... mind you, his son is near retirement age 🙂

            They're fine and house still standing ... but can't find the gumboots 🙂

            Probably just as well as been so long since used would be full of redbacks ...

                Yep ... he said that every gutter overflowed from the sides and for 15 minutes there was a sheet of water view through every window ...

                They expected a lot of damage but the drains they put in 40 years ago worked fine ...

                Just have to buy new gravel for the driveway ...

                Son managed to get out to work in the 4WD and should get back in ... he hopes as it's son's turn to cook 🙂

                Can you imagine two old blokes (88 and 63), both set in their ways living together 🙂

                        Still adjusting a lot (especially around the theme that changes based on what podcast is playing and selected).
