I'm taking a week off to do some mountain adventures, starting with Mt Bogong next Sunday. It's been a nervous few days watching the wet weather forecasts come in but I may just get lucky with some dry days.

Anyway, hire car is booked and paid for now, so I'm definitely going somewhere.

‘For Vinogradov, the result is a familiar situation for open source projects: a lot of work to do, and not enough good engineers to do it.

“AI does not increase the number of active, skilled maintainers,” he remarked. “It empowers the good ones, but all the fundamental problems just remain.”’

AI coding tools have enabled a flood of bad code that threatens to overwhelm many projects. Building new features is easier, but maintaining them is just as hard.

@james thankfully no kludge is necessary here, there is a structured way of expressing "here is this episode on another platform": contentLink

if nothing means anything, why not use the image tag? it also has a url and a content-type

what is the argument _for_ putting youtube links in alternateEnclosure? Budget for rss tags exhausted? "I just kind of learned about this concept, incompletely, and it's sort of close"? I don't get it
