So, now, here's a question for anyone podcasty. Is there a way to get this "thumbnail" in the Apple Podcasts to only say (in this case) "15 employees laid off"? Or, any other tips to make this work nicely? (I have complete control of the RSS feed that Apple sees, so I can fix it). #podcasts #podcast #helloappleemployee

@james I'd expect they've got a RegEx stripping out all HTML, whitespace, etc. to fill all that available space. Otherwise, the overlayed show artwork and text wouldn't line up perfectly in a carousel of these cards.
Have you come across any other show that's achieved what you're looking for?

@james Maybe with some of these Unicode invisible characters:

@nathan There’s something not doing that job properly, given the gap before the word “sponsored”. Would be nice if I could control what showed here without ruining what shows in the episode description. Maybe call the tag “itunes:summary” or something. Wait…

@james I’d assume they’re replacing line breaks with spaces, and then not doing a second pass to replace multiple successive whitespaces with a single one.
