This is a picture from the Wyze Cam that’s placed outside my door. As you can see, it points at my door, not the walkway up to the door.
When a person is detected, a 12-second video is uploaded to the cloud. Recordings are deleted after 14 days.
Now, I *think* this is fine. It’s not Ring. I’m unaware of any agreements Wyze has with data brokers or law enforcement. And I’m not recording anything other than my front door.
Am I right? Or AITA?

@evoterra the biggest risk w Waze is their security isn’t always top shelf but if it’s just entry cam & not concerned about someone viewing remotely then I wouldn’t worry (said as someone who also has a Waze cam outside pointed at my entry way)

Since iOS 14.5, Apple does essentially own the "RSS feed" in Apple Podcasts because they proxy the feed and serve only from their proxy. HLS video is now another thing they will host through their proxy.
Even their chapter support relies on MP3 chapters first and uses their proprietary "timed links" instead of the open standards of chapter links (legacy or P2.0).
I see Apple using open tech to build proprietary solutions.
