but could a podcast use #ActivityPub instead of RSS to enable boosting of the episodes themselves and replies directly attached? imagine the possibilities of a podcatcher fully decentralized social graph enabled.

@wjmaggos Or both RSS and AP. That would be interesting. I know that if you have a WordPress Podcasting Site and you use the AP plugin it works like that. Also TrueFans.fm does exactly that.

@wjmaggos I don't think what you want has been developed yet. Right now Podcasts are open via RSS which is an open standard.

@dave Would you consider the hosted API itself to be a critical element of what the index is doing for the community? One could make the case that the open-source code for anyone to run it themselves is the better use of your time than maintaining a free service for people who’re never going to appreciate the v4v model.
Imagine if the API had trial-sized rate limits, then flipped into a pay-what-you-want model powered by L402/x402
