This week, another example of Apple's directory having a different url for a podcast than Podcast Index does with no way agree:

The agency that manages the podcast reached out to say they have a new feed url now and wanted us to change it in PI. I did, but the old url is still in Apple Podcasts and they seem to have no intention of changing it. Both feeds are still updating with each new episode, but each has different historical episodes.

    So, yeah.

@dave If they want the URL changed, they should do a 301 redirect from the old URL, then that will work for all podcast apps.

@dave we’ve been contacted by a podcast creator that specifically wanted a different feed in Pocket Casts than what was used in Apple Podcasts. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
