Getting cross with podcasting 2.0 apps. Can't send boosts from fountain still.
Truefans kinda works but I can’t send a 2222 boost because I only have 4100 sats (???) and trying to add money I guess crashes the app. or whatever is happening. And no topup from strike but that's fine.
Castamatic looks like it only works with alby. Which I don't use anymore.
I just wanted to get on a walk and listen and boost

@Lyceum @samsethi my main problem was i didnt read the euro sign at the left of the value field as meaning i need to enter a euro amount. so of course i cant boost 2222€ worth of sats if theres like 3€ worth in it.
thats my fault i think.and on PC now i was able to put in money through stripe. it still doesnt work on my phone though

@silas we’re about to start implementing V4V in Podverse Nextgen, but I’m still not sure how we facilitate the transactions. In Podverse Legacy we rely on Alby’s API endpoints. I intend to continue supporting Alby as an option, but it would be nice if we have more options. Are the other HTTP API services we can use? Are there non-HTTP solutions we can use?
I’m having a hard time figuring out how to do this. There’s no documentation geared towards devs for V4V implementations that I know of.

@silas I’d be open to writing V4V documentation for devs but…I don’t have the answers to it myself yet.

@mitch I don't know yet. I haven't come to trying to implement v4v stuff yet. My plan for the start, without having looked at it, was just to get NWC working and hoping there's enough wallets and services that support it already.
But I didn't look at it at all yet. -

But I didn't look at it at all yet.@silas I don't know if this is still the case, but I think Fountain was partnered with Zebedee (now ZBD) for supporting Bitcoin Lightning wallet integrations.
Bitcoin for everyone on ZBD!

I have really wanted to avoid the responsibility of maintaining people's wallets directly...I'm hoping we have options similar to "Checkout with PayPal" where we can facilitate V4V transactions without directly having any stewardship over people's money.

@mitch @silas Here's the ones that support NWC: https://github.com/getAlby/awesome-nwc?tab=readme-ov-file#nwc-wallets
Lightning Node Connect is another option, though it has much less support https://github.com/lightninglabs/lightning-node-connect
There's always direct connecting to nodes via Tor, but I don't know how willing app devs are to do that.
