Sometime this arvo the hospital is meant to ring with the time of the surgery tomorrow. So i'll know exactly when to fast from. And when my cousin will need to take me to hospital (and a ballpark idea of when he'll need to pick me up).

Have been packing as if for an expedition - should only be one night away from home. Annoyed that i can't find the toiletries back i usually take - which has all the helpful stuff. Took it to camp last week - 100% sure i brought it back with me but no idea where the eff i put it. Apparently in a very safe place!

Bit nervous about the bus home. One i'm taking will drop me at the end of the street (awesome) but the stop it originates from can be sorta sketchy sometimes, it's a bit of a walk from the uke rehearsal and it'll be full dark by the time i'm there, waiting alone. It's on a fairly busy road though so i'm probably overthinking things.

Things are sounding full on & frantic.
Take a deep breath & stop for a short minute, make yourself a cuppa.

Busy day today. Have a gym class first. Then back for a shower and change. Then a remedial massage. Yay!

Day surgery is tomorrow (not the kidney, just minor stuff) so i have to drop my car off at my Aunty's (where i'll be staying post surgery). Going to pick up lunch for us on the way.

My cousin's then kindly dropping me back in town for a uke rehearsal at 6pm once he's free from work. And i'll catch a bus home once that finishes. Hopefully for a quiet night.

@psychopoesie best wishes. And play that uke. I am away from home for a few days and only have a pocket uke with me, suffering withdrawal symptoms from my other ones, especially my custom-made soprano one.

Can anyone give you a lift to a bus stop you prefer? People like to help people… 🙂

@UkeleleEric my ukestra is playing at our local fringe festival on 15 March and i've signed up to play (they are wonderfully open and encouraging to beginners). So going to extra rehearsals and plan to put in extra practice time too. Can't recall all the songs yet but Kashmir and Time After Time are on the list.

@feather1952 yep. Luckily, the gym class was a new restorative one. Found the missing toiletry bag straight after so it must've worked! Now onto the cuppa before massage.
